Privacy Policy

A-1 Mindset provides athlete performance and mindset coaching and educational training. We are not a therapy, medical or mental health treatment service. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices athletes, parents and guardians, coaches and programs have.

Last updated: September 2026.

Information we collect

  • Account and profile information: name, email address, phone number if you provide it, time zone, role (athlete, parent or guardian, coach, program staff, administrator) and avatar.
  • Athlete intake and profile details: sport, position, competition level, team or school, experience, goals, challenges and coaching preferences you enter during onboarding.
  • Training activity: modules you open and complete, lesson prompt responses, self ratings, Playbook entries, goals, progress check-ins, badges and Coaching Coin activity.
  • Journaling and reflection entries you write inside the platform.
  • Messages exchanged between an athlete and their assigned coach inside the platform.
  • Scheduling information: session requests, booked session times, coach availability, session status and coach session summaries.
  • Parent or guardian information: name, email address, phone number if provided, relationship to the athlete and consent records for athletes under 18.
  • Payment information handled by Stripe: we store a payment customer identifier, subscription or purchase status, amounts and billing periods. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
  • Support and inquiry information you send us, including team and program inquiry forms.
  • Technical information generated by using the site, such as session and authentication data needed to keep you signed in and basic error and performance information.

How we use information

  • Deliver the training curriculum, Playbook, goals and progress features.
  • Match athletes with a coach and let that coach support the athlete effectively.
  • Schedule, confirm, reschedule and cancel coaching sessions.
  • Process memberships, session purchases and program agreements.
  • Send account, scheduling, consent and service messages.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, secure and improve the platform.
  • Meet legal and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell personal information and we do not run third party advertising.

Athletes under 18

A-1 Mindset may be used by athletes under 18. For those athletes we collect a parent or guardian name and email address, and private 1-on-1 coaching requires documented parent or guardian consent before it can proceed. A linked parent or guardian may review consent records, membership and scheduling details for their athlete. Parents and guardians may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, which ends private coaching for that athlete.

Private journal entries written by an athlete are not shared with coaches. Coaches see intake information, goals, training progress, session history, messages sent to them and notes they write themselves.

Who we share information with

  • Your assigned coach, for the coaching relationship described above.
  • A parent or guardian linked to a minor athlete's account, for consent, membership and scheduling.
  • Your school, club, academy or athletic department if your access is sponsored by that program. Programs receive membership status and aggregate participation and completion reporting, not private journal entries or message contents.
  • Stripe, which processes payments and manages billing on our behalf.
  • Google, which creates the Google Calendar event and Google Meet link for your booked sessions. Calendar invitations include the delivery email addresses needed to send the invitation. For group sessions we configure the event so guests cannot invite others.
  • Our email delivery provider, for transactional messages such as confirmations, consent requests, password resets and notifications.
  • Our hosting and database providers, which store the platform's data.
  • Legal, safety or regulatory recipients when we are required to respond, or where there is a serious safety concern.

Non-clinical service

A-1 Mindset is performance coaching and education. It is not therapy, counseling, diagnosis or treatment, and we make no claim of HIPAA compliance. Please do not submit medical records or protected health information through the platform. If an athlete needs licensed care, we will say so and point to real resources. In a crisis, call or text 988 or dial 911.

Data security

Access to platform data is controlled by account, role and database-level access rules, so athletes, parents, coaches, programs and administrators each see only what their role allows. Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe. No online service can guarantee absolute security, and we make no certification or compliance claims beyond the controls described here.

Retention and deletion

We keep account, training and session information for as long as the account is active, so athletes keep their history if they pause and return. Payment and program records are kept as long as needed for financial and contractual records. You may request deletion of an account and its associated content by emailing us; we will confirm your identity and the requester's authority before acting, and we may retain limited records where we are required to.

Your choices and rights

  • Review and update your profile and intake information from your account.
  • Manage or cancel a membership through the billing portal.
  • Withdraw parent or guardian consent for a minor athlete's private coaching.
  • Request a copy of your information, correction of inaccurate information, or deletion.
  • Ask us to stop non-essential messages. Service messages tied to your account, consent or scheduling will continue while your account is active.

Cookies and technical information

We use browser storage and cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in, remember your light or dark theme choice and keep the platform working. Stripe and Google may set their own cookies on their hosted pages when you complete a payment or open a calendar invitation.

Changes to this policy

If we make a meaningful change we will update this page and the date above, and we will notify account holders when the change materially affects them.
